The rabbis were very supportive and quick to schedule the Beit Din. I had my get in 10 days since the initial request. The chief Rabbi told me to sit next to him and they advised and supported me in not signing a civil divorce before receiving the get. They.also charged my ex-husband and not me. They charged him about $400. The rabbis were extremely supportive and available whenever I was in need of emotional support. One also advised me to not give up on a future religious wedding and look for rabbis in the US that are writing ketubot with an immediate guet upon a civil divorce. I must note that even though I pray at an orthodox synagogue, I am not orthodox myself.
My crazy ex-husband yelled and threatened not to give me the Get during the ceremony. The rabbis were very good at handling him.
